According to OpenAI founder Sam Altman, the buzz around the ChatGPT text AI should die down a bit. In an interview, he explained that he fears that many people on the Internet have inflated expectations of artificial intelligence. Now pricing for a professional rate has also surfaced, which may disappoint some.

It appears that OpenAI will offer a pro plan for ChatGPT, where customers will have access to the system at all times for a monthly price of $42, even when it is overloaded due to many requests. In addition, paying customers are expected to benefit from faster responses and early access to new features.

Text AI costs a lot of money to operate

It is known that OpenAI plans to offer a paid version of ChatGPT. The company has hinted at this several times in the past. However, the price for the offer has been unknown until now. There are currently only reports from individuals who have seen the offer, and it is still unclear whether the stated price of $42 will actually stick. There has been no official confirmation or announcement from OpenAI yet.

Founder wishes for less hype

In the following interview with StrictlyVC, founder Sam Altman expresses irritation about the extent of rumors and speculation about the further development of the chat AI. He says with regard to the planned introduction of GPT-4, people are just begging to be disappointed. He called circulating figures about massive differences to the current version, for example to the parameters, and how this affects the ChatGPT software, nonsense. When the changeover to GPT-4 will happen is currently still open.
