It could be a scene from a science fiction movie, but it's actually a reality. A Polish start-up has introduced its humanoid robot, Protoclone V1. It looks like a human skin suit with a human anatomy, but it is actually a robot whose artificial muscles move like real ones.
The robot has more than 1,000 artificial muscles, is filled with a special fluid and is driven by an electronic pump. It is also equipped with advanced sensor systems, including four depth cameras in the skull and 320 pressure sensors to measure force.
Domestic help of the future
This is not the first time that a robot of this kind has been presented. Last year, an unfinished prototype was already presented, but at that time the Clone Robotics website was not yet fully published and was still under construction.
Now the vision for the android is becoming more concrete: Clone Robotics wants to sell humanoid robots to private customers and companies – they resemble a sex doll, with which you can even talk.
As early as 2024, we learned that the robot, a skeleton known as an 'android', has a spine that looks very human. The pelvis is firmly attached to the rest of the body.
