Research shows that Helix can learn a range of behaviors by using a single neural network weight. These include grasping and placing objects, as well as interacting with drawers or refrigerators.

Helix is already market-ready and runs entirely on embedded GPUs with low power consumption – an efficient and practical solution for modern household robotics.

Are household robots operational?

The home environment is very challenging for robots. Compared to a workshop or large industrial facility, homes are often more cluttered and contain many delicate or breakable objects.

For robots to be used in households in the future, they must be able to learn new intelligent behaviors on demand. This is the only way they can avoid damaging or destroying unknown objects.

The current state of robotics is not yet sufficient for this. Without fundamental further development, today's robots are not suitable for reliable use in the home.
